One wedding and a birthday...and a graduation.

The other day it was my mama's birthday. She turned 49. We decided to do something chill and just go out to dinner and grab a beer. Seeing as how we live in Naples and I didn't get out of work till 9, we had to settle for Friday's. It was still a good time. Here's my mom and the daisies I got for her.



So I know I may not act like it...but I'm actually Indian and sometimes I do Indian things. We went to a high school graduation for a family friend. Not much to say there but I thought I'd post a picture of my ethnic side.



Another event that happened this week was my friend's wedding. She's a family friend of ours. I haven't seen her in years. In fact, I hadn't talked to her since the night that my dad passed away four and a half years ago. She was the last person I talked to before I found out. So considering that depressing thought, I was pretty excited to see her at a happy occasion. The wedding was small for an Indian wedding (only 500 people!). There was no reception but the actual wedding was beautiful. It's scary how all I do is jot down mental notes of things I want and don't want at my wedding. I apologize for the crappy pictures.

New life, new blog...

Well it's been a while since i've posted on my livejournal. So why not have a fresh start on a new site? I love looking at the blogs of my friends. I figure this is a good way to show people what I do with my time. Besides, I think something like 98% of my livejournal friends stopped using it.

So welcome to my new blog. I hope my life, thoughts, etc. are interesting enough to have some followers. Heh.
